No, Intellifluence does not send 1099s to influencers as Intellifluence does not pay influencers directly and influencers are not employees of Intellifluence. All work performed by influencers using Intellifluence is on a contract basis between influencers, talent agencies and brands.
As a user of Intellifluence, you are not an employee of Intellifluence, and you are not eligible for any of the rights or benefits of employment (including unemployment and/or workers compensation insurance).
Payouts are handled by PayPal, our third party payment processer. You should receive a 1099 form from PayPal if you meet the criteria. For example:
A 1099-K form is issued by PayPal if you exceed both of the following thresholds in the calendar year 2020 (subject to change):
- $20,000 in gross payment volume from sales of goods or services in a single calendar year, AND
- 200 payments for goods or services in the same year (Vermont and Massachusetts are exceptions, where their threshold is lower, regardless of how many transactions there are)
Within your PayPal account, you can click Tax documents under Reports to view applicable forms.
While Intellifluence is unable to offer tax advice, you can check out this article to learn more about Form 1099-K:

Similarly, Intellifluence will not issue W2s or other tax documents, per tax law, classifications and banking regulations.
