Drip pitching enables you to automate the pitching process on a daily or weekly basis.
Note that you need to have influencers added to your campaign in order to take advantage of auto-pitching.
Within the Discover Influencer List, you can add influencers to your campaign individually, or you can bulk select candidates and add multiple to your campaign at the same time.
You will notice that once you have added influencers to your campaign, they will have an “opportunity” status associated with them. This simply means that they can be pitched using the auto-pitch feature. You can also manually pitch them if you prefer.
Influencers that apply to be in your campaign via the Marketplace will appear with a “marketplace” status and are not eligible to be automatically pitched. The reason for this is that we do not want to automatically pitch anybody you haven’t hand selected to be a part of your campaign.
Begin by clicking Set up Auto-pitching within the campaign where you want to automate pitching.
Rather than pitching as many influencers as quickly as possible by selecting “Immediate”, you can schedule pitches to go out at specific times when selecting Daily or Weekly.
So why might you select the Daily or Weekly auto-pitch types over Immediate?
Maybe you want to spread out your budget.
Maybe you want social media or blog posts to be published at a lower volume, to appear more natural.
Maybe you just want to ensure that you don’t get bogged down with a bunch of accepted pitches all at once, especially if you need to provide additional details to those influencers who accept your pitch.
For drip pitching, select either Daily or Weekly.
If you select Daily, you will then select a specific time that pitches will be sent.
If you select Weekly, you will have the option to select a specific day of the week, along with a specific time.
Next, specify an Automated Pitch Total. This simply refers to the number of automated pitches that will be sent for the campaign each day or on a specific day of the week, depending on whether you go with Daily or Weekly. It’s not the total number of pitches that will go out over the course of your campaign, but rather the daily or weekly batches. Note that this total will not include pitches you send manually.
Next, select a Pitch Expiration. This refers to how long the influencer has to accept the pitch before it expires.
Next, select whether you want to limit auto-pitching to a specific number of pitches or a portion of your budget.
For example, if you want 30 social media or blog posts in total for this campaign, you would enter that number in the Maximum Accepted Pitches field. If you want to cap the auto-pitch budget at $600, you would enter that in the Maximum Budget field.
If you want to jumpstart the auto-pitching process selecting Enable Right Away will send the first batch of automated pitches out immediately, then it will transition to the daily or weekly batches you scheduled above in the Automated Pitch Total field.
Once you have finetuned your daily or weekly auto-pitching, click Set up.
Lastly, toggle Enable Auto-Pitching on to complete the process.
Once you have set up auto-pitching, you can click the Settings button to review auto-pitching stats, if applicable, and make any updates if you decide you want to change anything.
If you ever want to disable auto-pitching, simply toggle Enable Auto-Pitching off, and no more pitches will be automatically sent. Note that any pitches that have already been sent and are still active will not be cancelled by toggling this off.
