We give brands a lot of flexibility when it comes to compensating influencers. For most campaign types, you have a choice of offering:
1. Product only
2. Cash only
3. Cash and product
Some campaign goal types restrict or require certain compensation. For example, sharing an existing social media post wouldn't include a tangible product, so it will default to a cash only campaign.
All cash transactions are facilitated via Intellifluence Payments. Intellifluence Payments enables Brands to add funds to their accounts to compensate Influencers once the Influencer’s work is completed in a manner that is satisfactory. This mitigates transaction risk as Brands have control over when an Influencer is paid for their work. Also, all Payments are backed by the Intellifluence Promise.
You must add funds to your Intellifluence Payments account before pitching influencers in campaigns involving cash.
Note: Once you have created a campaign, you can change the compensation dollar values at any time, but you cannot change the compensation type (i.e. product -> cash and product). If you want to change the compensation type, you can duplicate the existing campaign and change it during the setup process or you can create a new campaign from scratch.
Below are three of the most common compensation scenarios, with specific instructions on how to fine-tune each one to meet your needs. Once you get to step 3 in our campaign wizard, determine how you want to compensate influencers and proceed accordingly:
If you are sending a free product to an influencer and they do not have to pay for it...
1. Select Product Only
Note: If an influencer has to "purchase" the product using a coupon code, check the box next to The influencer is required to purchase the product below as part of the campaign? If you are simply sending them the product directly and they don't have to go through a formal purchase/checkout process, you would leave this unchecked and then select Mailing Address and/or Email Address under the question How will you deliver the free product to the influencer?
2. Enter the Product Name
3. Enter the Product Value (including maximum value for shipping and tax)
4. Select one of the following options:
If you are providing a unique coupon code per influencer:
i. Enter the Coupon Code Value in $USD
ii. Enter the Product Purchase Link (i.e. the product page on the website where the influencer will order it from)
If you are providing a campaign-wide coupon code per influencer:
i. Enter the Coupon Code
ii. Enter the Coupon Code Value in $USD
iii. Enter the Product Purchase Link (i.e. the product page on the website where the influencer will order it from)
If you are only offering an influencer cash (no product is involved)...
Examples might include blog posts, marketplace reviews, etc.
1. Select Cash Only
2. Enter the Cash Amount
i. If an influencer needs additional information before starting work (ie. custom link/affiliate code, etc), select Specific details are needed to be supplied before the influencer can start
ii. If you are offering commission/affiliate benefits, select This is also a commission/affiliate link offer
iii. If this is a time-sensitive campaign and you don't want to accept late work, select This needs to be expedited. If work is not delivered by the due date, the campaign will be archived shortly after the due date and funds returned to your account in an expedient manner.
